AMIR Fund Medical Scholarship Program

Overview

The AMIR Fund for Education, Science and Technology is accepting applications for the 2026/2027 Medical Scholarship Program. The scheme awards up to 20 full-tuition grants to high-achieving Muslim minority medical scholars from low-income backgrounds across select Nigerian universities to support their training as licensed physicians.

Award Benefits

• 100% settlement of mandatory academic tuition and institutional fees disbursed directly to the beneficiary's university.
• Annual renewal through to graduation, subject to consistent academic excellence.

Eligibility Criteria

• Academic Discipline: Undergraduate students pursuing an MBBS degree.
• Academic Standing: Enrolled in 200 Level or higher with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.50 on a 5.00 grading scale.
• Demographic Focus: Muslim minority students from verifiably disadvantaged or low-income households in Nigeria.
• Eligible Institutions: Students registered at UI, UNILAG, OAU, ABU, BUK, UNILORIN, UNN, UNIBEN, FUMMSA Abeokuta, LASU, or OOU.
