About the role

One Acre Fund is a nonprofit organisation that supports smallholder farmers in Africa. The Agricultural Trials Lead will oversee early-stage agricultural research in Kenya, managing a network of research stations and ensuring scientifically rigorous trials.

What you'll do

• Execute agricultural research and development strategy across Kenya.
• Design and manage trials, ensuring scientific quality and efficiency.
• Analyse data, interpret results, and provide recommendations.
• Manage budgets, operations, and a multidisciplinary team.
• Ensure research quality, safety, and compliance.

Requirements

• MSc in applied agricultural sciences with 2-3 years experience.
• Experience in agricultural research, trial management, and team leadership.
• Knowledge of fertilizer alternatives, soil health, and pest management.
• Budget management and operational risk experience.
• Experience working with research organisations and technology companies.
