About the role
One Acre Fund, a leading agricultural services provider, operates in Burundi under the local brand Tubura. The organisation supports smallholder farmers with high-quality supplies, training, and credit. You will lead Government Relations for Tubura, serving as a senior interface with the Government of Burundi and advisor to the Country Director.
What you'll do
- Develop vision and strategy for Government Relations
- Build relationships with senior Government officials
- Monitor and interpret Government policies and regulations
- Develop advocacy and engagement strategies
- Manage external risks and identify opportunities
- Lead and coach the Government Relations team
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
- 7+ years of professional experience
- 3+ years in a senior leadership role
- Experience working with Government institutions
- Strong understanding of public-sector institutions
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills
