About the role

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is seeking a Financial Management Specialist for the Technologies for African Agricultural Transformation (TAAT) Program Management Unit. The IITA is a not-for-profit organization that generates agricultural innovations to address Africa's challenges. The Financial Management Specialist will lead financial management for the TAAT program.

What you'll do

• Lead budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting for the program.
• Manage budget execution and control expenditure.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Develop and update the Program Financial Procedures Manual.
• Implement business process improvements and treasury procedures.
• Supervise financial management staff and liaise with auditors.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with full membership of an international accounting body.
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 10+ years of post-qualification experience, with 4+ years in a related role.
• Experience working on donor-funded projects.
