About the role

Moniepoint is a digital financial services platform operating in emerging markets, particularly in Nigeria. The organisation processes a significant volume of transactions and is recognised for its inclusive payment platform. The Senior Data Governance, Policy & Control Specialist will drive data governance initiatives, manage policies, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain data governance policies and frameworks.
• Oversee enterprise-wide implementation of data governance initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and compliance monitoring.
• Implement data stewardship programs and define data ownership.
• Design and implement data governance controls and risk management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Law, Information Systems).
• 5+ years of experience in data governance, risk, or compliance roles.
• Experience in a regulated industry (financial services, healthcare, etc.).
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks (DCAM, DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT).
• Familiarity with modern data architectures and GRC tooling.
