Metadata & Data Lineage Specialist

About the role

Moniepoint is a digital financial services platform operating in emerging markets. The company processes most of Nigeria's POS transactions and offers payment, banking, credit, and business management solutions. We are seeking a Metadata & Data Lineage Specialist to develop and manage our metadata management and data lineage capabilities.

What you'll do

• Manage and improve enterprise metadata and data cataloguing.
• Develop and validate end-to-end data lineage for critical data flows.
• Support DataHub administration and optimisation.
• Establish metadata quality rules and KPIs.
• Apply data classification metadata based on sensitivity and regulations.
• Drive AI-assisted metadata management adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or related field.
• 3–6+ years of experience in Metadata Management or Data Governance.
• Experience with DataHub, Solidatus, or similar platforms.
• Practical experience with end-to-end data lineage.
• Familiarity with modern data architectures and financial services.
