Engineering Expert

About the role

Weekday AI seeks an experienced Engineering Expert for a short-term contractor engagement. You will design, develop, and validate complex engineering simulation problems to train and evaluate advanced AI models and coding agents. This role requires deep engineering expertise, scientific computing, and AI evaluation skills.

What you'll do

• Design original engineering problems with realistic technical requirements.
• Develop simulation-based problem environments using open-source tools.
• Evaluate AI model performance and analyze execution logs.
• Refine evaluation benchmarks to improve model performance.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and subject-matter experts.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 10+ years of hands-on engineering design experience.
• Strong Python programming and scripting skills.
• Proficiency with open-source engineering simulation or design tools.
• Experience with simulation-based engineering workflows and AI evaluation.
