About the role

Moniepoint Inc. is a leading financial platform in Africa, and we're looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee project delivery and technical planning. You'll lead cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality outcomes and efficient project execution. Your expertise in software design and development will be crucial in driving the successful delivery of product features.

What you'll do

• Deliver projects end-to-end across teams with predictable outcomes.
• Evaluate business requirements for technical feasibility and alignment.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers.
• Plan and drive sprint execution with clear goals and timelines.
• Champion engineering processes for strong collaboration and efficiency.
• Monitor team velocity and capacity for optimal resource allocation.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and stakeholder alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8-10 years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Agile methodologies and sprint planning experience.
• Strong backend engineering expertise.
• Experience with project planning and tracking tools.
