About the role

FairMoney is a mobile banking institution operating in Nigeria and other countries, providing financial services to emerging markets. You will work as a Field Recovery / Verification Officer, focusing on collecting loan repayments and rehabilitating accounts in arrears. Your role will involve interacting with customers, handling objections, and collaborating with internal departments.

What you'll do

• Conduct field visits to engage with defaulting customers and demand payments.
• Track and record daily activities, such as calls and payments.
• Verify information on overdue accounts and initiate follow-up calls.
• Negotiate payment plans to prevent further delinquency.
• Follow up on pending promises to ensure timely resolution.

Requirements

• University degree in any field.
• 1+ year of experience in consumer loans or merchant operations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
