Human Resource Associate

About the role

GiveDirectly is a global organization that provides cash directly to people living in poverty and crisis. They are seeking a Human Resource Associate to join their team in Kampala, Uganda, to provide professional and operational support across key HR functions.

What you'll do

• Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee records management
• Coordinate candidate sourcing, screening, and interviews
• Maintain accurate recruitment records and communicate with candidates
• Prepare employment offers, contract extensions, and other recruitment documents
• Onboard new employees, including BambooHR and Payspace setup
• Provide HR administrative support, including audits and documentation

Requirements

• Relevant experience in HR or related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Experience with HR systems, such as BambooHR and Payspace
• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations in Uganda
