IDinsight is a global nonprofit that uses data, evidence, and technology to improve lives. They work with governments, NGOs, and funders to support decisions that drive social impact. The Junior Economist role involves coding, research design, and analysis to inform recommendations and decisions.
What you'll do
- Design and implement evaluations, including estimating sample sizes and coding for impact evaluation
- Conduct statistical analysis on datasets to produce results
- Visualize data for clients in graphs, charts, and tables
- Review code for quality and ensure high data quality
- Prepare data for publication and manuscripts for reports and articles
- Build dashboards and data visualization tools to track key performance indicators
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in economics, econometrics, statistics, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant work experience in empirical evaluations and research
- Significant experience with Stata or R programming languages
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills
- Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and sense of humor
