Lead Risk Manager & Portfolio Owner

About the role

FairMoney is a mobile banking institution operating in Nigeria, offering a range of financial products. They are seeking a Lead Risk Manager & Portfolio Owner to oversee their Android Quick Loans portfolio. This role involves managing the commercial, economic, risk, and people outcomes of the portfolio.

What you'll do

• Manage portfolio economics, including revenue and risk performance
• Develop and implement business plans and strategic roadmaps
• Analyze and drive corrective actions for portfolio variances
• Own and improve Android credit strategy across multiple areas
• Design and implement controlled experiments and production changes
• Lead a senior team and collaborate with cross-functional partners

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in consumer credit risk or lending
• Proven portfolio management experience with revenue and risk responsibility
• Experience with digital unsecured lending and African markets
• Strong understanding of credit risk metrics and analytical tools
• Experience with team leadership and cross-functional delivery
• Strong communication and analytical skills
