Nigeria Commercialisation Associate (Trees)

About the role

One Acre Fund is a nonprofit organisation that supports smallholder farmers in Africa. The Nigeria program, based in Minna, serves over 100,000 farmers. We're looking for a Commercialisation Associate (Trees) to help scale tree products and drive revenue.

What you'll do

• Develop long-term revenue strategies for tree-based products.
• Design frameworks for paid program offerings and pricing.
• Build financial models to evaluate business viability.
• Explore alternative revenue streams like carbon finance.
• Design cross-selling strategies for secondary products.
• Partner with teams to link tree products with agricultural inputs.
• Analyze regional value chains to maximise farmer margins.
• Lead commercial pilots and translate learnings into frameworks.
• Present strategic business cases to secure buy-in.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in agribusiness or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in scaling projects and implementing data-driven strategies.
• Strong financial modeling and business strategy skills.
• Understanding of agricultural market linkages and value chains.
• Ability to design field tests and iterate based on data.
