About the role
FairMoney is a mobile banking institution that provides financial services to emerging markets. They are seeking a Portfolio Growth Officer to join their team in Lagos, Nigeria. As a Portfolio Growth Officer, you will be responsible for reactivating inactive merchant accounts and converting unused credit capacity into a revenue-generating portfolio.
What you'll do
- Manage assigned merchants to reactivate their accounts.
- Diagnose inactivity and create reactivation plans.
- Conduct field visits to verify businesses and rebuild relationships.
- Coordinate with teams to resolve issues and manage repayments.
- Maintain accurate portfolio records and prevent control breaches.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years experience in relationship management or financial services.
- Understanding of merchant businesses and repayment management.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in Excel, CRM systems, and performance trackers.
