Senior Backend Engineer - Asset Sales

About the role

M-KOPA is a FinTech company that provides financial inclusion for under-banked populations. They are expanding their engineering team and seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join their Asset Sales group. You will build and operate distributed microservices and help shape AI-native engineering at M-KOPA.

What you'll do

• Build and operate distributed C# and .NET microservices on Azure
• Work within an event-driven architecture at significant scale
• Own what you build end-to-end, from idea to production and iteration
• Use AI tools as part of daily engineering workflow
• Collaborate with diverse teams across UK, Europe, and Africa

Requirements

• Strong grasp of C# and .NET development
• Experience with event-driven systems and messaging technology
• Microservices architecture experience on Azure and Kubernetes
• Experience with observability tooling
• Comfort using AI tools in daily engineering workflow
• DevOps culture mindset and on-call/production ownership
