Senior Backend Engineer - Mobility (12 month FTC)

About the role

M-KOPA is a company that creates financial inclusion for traditionally excluded communities. We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help scale our fast-growing e-mobility business, M-KOPA Mobility.

What you'll do

• Build event-driven microservices for clean transport
• Design and implement backend systems for e-mobility financing
• Collaborate with teams to ensure high-quality output
• Monitor and optimize system performance
• Work with AI coding tools like Claude Code

Requirements

• Experience with C# .NET development
• Knowledge of event-driven systems and microservices architecture
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools
• Understanding of observability and testing tools
• DevOps culture mindset
