Data Engineer - Web Scraping (3 months contract)

About the role

CXG is a global customer experience company that helps luxury brands improve customer and employee experiences. They are looking for a Data Engineer - Web Scraping to work remotely for 3 months. You will be part of a team of 270 collaborators working with over 200 luxury brands worldwide.

What you'll do

• Manage website scraping configurations using Python.
• Monitor scraping for errors and crashes.
• Oversee retrieved data for issues and blockages.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on scraping tasks and report issues.
• Prepare periodic scraping activity reports for stakeholders.
• Develop data pipelines for Datalake ingestion and transformation.

Requirements

• Experience in data engineering and scalable architectures.
• ETL, data modeling, and data warehousing experience.
• Database expertise (SQL and NoSQL).
• Cloud platform knowledge (Azure preferred).
• Data security and compliance understanding.
• Excellent Python skills for data engineering.
• Collaboration skills for working with data scientists.
• Data pipeline optimization experience.
• Version control (Git) and infrastructure management (Terraform) experience.
• 2+ years in a similar role.
• Relevant academic background.
• Fluent in English (French is a plus).
