About the role
Storyteq is a company that helps marketing and creative teams scale their creative production and gain control over their marketing campaigns. They are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their Templating Domain team, which is a key part of their Creative Automation platform. This is a remote role based in South Africa, with the option to work from their Cape Town office.
What you'll do
- Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to engineers
- Partner with Product and Design to define priorities
- Own delivery, quality, reliability, and long-term health
- Drive technical direction and architectural decisions
- Remove obstacles and support engineers
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a Lead/Engineering Manager
- Strong software engineering background in B2B SaaS
- Experience with modern web technologies (TypeScript, Node.js, Vue.js, Python)
- Hands-on leadership style with technical expertise
- Experience with AI adoption and customer-facing software
- Strong communication and coaching skills
