Field Officer - Internal Audit

About the role

GiveDirectly is a global organisation that provides cash transfers to people in poverty and crisis. The Field Officer - Internal Audit will play a critical role in ensuring the safe delivery of cash transfers by auditing the work of the enrolment team and investigating field-based risks.

What you'll do

• Engage with high-risk recipients to provide support and identify corrections in field processes.
• Investigate and resolve recipient cases flagged to the Internal Audit team.
• Monitor risks and verify partner data in the community.
• Identify and escalate key risks associated with GiveDirectly's programs.
• Support onboarding of new team members and host visitors.
• Assist with response to crisis events and promote team culture.

Requirements

• Relevant degree in relief, humanitarian response, or community development.
• 2+ years of experience working with disadvantaged communities.
• Experience in auditing recipient surveys and monitoring and evaluation.
• Proficiency in English and a commonly spoken language in Malawi.
• Good computer and mobile device data entry skills.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
