About the role
Stethoscope SA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to fill the position of ICU Clinical Facilitator at their facility in Somerset West, Cape Town. As a key member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for supporting the growth and development of critical care nurses. Your expertise will help elevate patient care standards in the intensive care unit.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement orientation programs for new ICU nurses.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and mentoring to nursing staff.
- Identify training needs and create in-service training programs.
- Support nursing students and learners during clinical placements.
- Assess staff competencies and maintain accurate training records.
- Contribute to clinical governance and patient safety initiatives.
Requirements
- Recent ICU experience with strong clinical skills.
- Proven nursing education or training experience.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification or willingness to obtain.
- Good computer skills for record-keeping and reporting.
- Fluency in English; Afrikaans an advantage.
