Senior Data Scientist

About the role

GoTyme ZA, a leading bank in South Africa, seeks a Senior Data Scientist to enhance customer experience through complex analytics and modelling. You will work independently, providing technical expertise and coaching junior colleagues. Your goal is to improve customer outcomes and service performance.

What you'll do

• Deliver end-to-end CX analytics projects from scoping to stakeholder communication.
• Analyse customer data to identify satisfaction drivers and recommend improvements.
• Design and evaluate experiments for service improvements and measure business impact.
• Develop features and model inputs from structured and unstructured data.
• Lead predictive models and text analytics for customer sentiment and service needs.
• Set and uphold analytical standards within the CX domain.

Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in data science or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Strong Python and/or SQL proficiency with large datasets.
• Deep grounding in statistics, experimentation, and predictive model evaluation.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
