Senior Finance Controller

M-KOPA is a company serving over 7 million customers, providing financial services and empowering individuals. The Senior Finance Controller role in Accra, Ghana, oversees financial statements and ensures accuracy. You will lead the close process and build financial discipline.

What you'll do

• Run monthly, quarterly and annual financial closes to deadline.
• Review journals, accruals, provisions and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts and financial statements in line with IFRS.
• Coach the accounting team and ensure statutory filings are accurate.
• Document controls and apply accounting policy consistently.

Requirements

• Recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ICAG, CPA, ACA).
• Proven working knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 9 and IFRS 15.
• Extensive experience in a supervisory accounting role with ERP skills.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with statutory reporting and tax compliance.
