About the role

GiveDirectly is a global organisation that provides cash directly to people in poverty and crisis. They are expanding their operations in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and are looking for an Agent Terrain to join their team in Lukula, Kongo Central. As an Agent Terrain, you will play a key role in interacting with the community, collecting data, and promoting the organisation's mission.

What you'll do

• Collect data through surveys and censuses
• Work with team members to ensure accurate data collection
• Conduct community meetings and focus groups
• Participate in public awareness sessions
• Interact with local authorities, community representatives, and the public
• Respond to community complaints and questions

Requirements

• Relevant university degree
• Experience in data collection and fieldwork
• Good time management and interpersonal skills
• High levels of empathy, honesty, and integrity
• Physical ability to work in rural areas
• Familiarity with digital data collection tools
• Good communication skills, especially with vulnerable groups
• Ability to handle complaints professionally
