Field Officer - Rwanda

About the role

GiveDirectly is a global organization that provides cash transfers to people living in poverty and crisis. The Field Officer will play a vital role in administering recipient surveys and related processes in Rwanda. This role requires a strong commitment to GiveDirectly's mission and model.

What you'll do

• Conduct household surveys using smartphones with accurate data.
• Verify survey responses and minimize errors to improve data quality.
• Distribute and track registration of SIM cards to recipients.
• Explain GiveDirectly's program to eligible households and identify ineligible ones.
• Conduct follow-up surveys with recipients who have received transfers.

Requirements

• Relevant degree and two years' experience with vulnerable communities.
• Computer and mobile device data entry knowledge with good typing skills.
• Empathy, honesty, and high standards of integrity.
• Excellent communication skills in Kinyarwanda and English.
• Physical fitness and ability to cope with difficult weather conditions.
