Payroll Associate

About the role

FairMoney is a mobile banking institution that provides financial services to emerging markets. The company operates mainly in Nigeria and has secured significant funding from global investors. You will work as a Payroll Associate, supporting the Compensation and Benefits Manager in managing payroll and employee compensation processes.

What you'll do

• Prepare and process monthly payroll, including salaries and deductions.
• Update payroll inputs based on employee changes, such as new hires and exits.
• Compute statutory deductions, including PAYE and pension.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour and tax requirements.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in financial services.
• Knowledge of Nigerian payroll administration and statutory deductions.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data analytics skills.
• Familiarity with HRIS or payroll software is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
